Horses for Healing has closed after over 30+ years of service to the community. Our final Equine Assisted Learning session concluded in early November, and we wrapped up all operations at the end of 2022. Ownership of the facility transferred to Toni Clark at the end of January 2023. The farm is once again open for boarding, training, and lessons under her ownership and is now called Northwest Arkansas Stables & Equestrian Center. Check them out on Facebook!
We have found fabulous new homes for all of our critters: horses, ponies, donkeys, and Apple, the cat. Several (3 horses, the donkeys, and Apple) are even staying on the farm. We are so happy that they have all found wonderful owners who will take such good care of them, giving them the love and attention they all so richly deserve.
Thank you for so many years of support and all the many miracles we have had the pleasure of witnessing.
For over 30 years, Horses for Healing, NWA has helped children with special needs achieve their dreams. The power of the relationship between a horse and child can at times seem magical. We have seen children take their first steps, say their first words, and even smile for the first time during their lessons. Horses can give children dealing with trauma, depression, and anxiety a safe space to learn to trust and develop healthy relationship skills.
The success we have achieved does not come easily. Our generous donors give us the ability to accept all children, regardless of ability to pay, as well as provide high quality care for our horses. An army of volunteers assist with everything from caring for the horses and facilities to working with children to fundraising and event planning.
YOU can help us help children find success with horses and with life!
