For over 30 years, Horses for Healing, a nonprofit located in Northwest Arkansas, has been helping children with disabilities achieve their dreams. Through our Adaptive Riding program, thousands of children have improved their balance, coordination, self-confidence, and communication skills.
In recent years, the challenges facing children have changed and we are changing as well. The number of children dealing with complex trauma, depression, social disorders, and other emotional disturbances has exploded. Our new Equine Assisted Learning program is designed with these children in mind, helping them learn trust, boundaries, communication, and healthy relationship skills.
At Horses for Healing, our participants find success in the saddle and in life.
