It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Horses for Healing is concluding our 30+ years of service to the community. We finished our final Equine Assisted Learning session in early November, and will wrap up all operations by the end of 2022. Thank you for so many years of support and all the many miracles we have had the pleasure of witnessing. Our first thoughts are on making sure that our amazing team members are taken care of, followed closely by ensuring our beloved ponies find good homes. You can stay posted on what is happening by following up on Facebook.

For over 30 years, Horses for Healing, NWA has helped children with special needs achieve their dreams. The power of the relationship between a horse and child can at times seem magical. We have seen children take their first steps, say their first words, and even smile for the first time during their lessons. Horses can give children dealing with trauma, depression, and anxiety a safe space to learn to trust and develop healthy relationship skills.

The success we have achieved does not come easily. Our generous donors give us the ability to accept all children, regardless of ability to pay, as well as provide high quality care for our horses. An army of volunteers assist with everything from caring for the horses and facilities to working with children to fundraising and event planning.

YOU can help us help children find success with horses and with life!

Do you have a child or someone you know who could benefit from working with horses? Find out more about the programs we offer.

There are so many ways you can help support our mission. We can't do it without you!

HfH exists because of the generous support of volunteers, whose skilled contributions are invaluable in so many ways.

Our Vision
